Nokia 8 is expected to launch on 31st July 2017

After seeing good performance from the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6, the brand is all set to launch Nokia 8 2017. The company even launched the classic 3310 for the Nokia lovers. The upcoming Nokia 8 is expected to launch on 31st July 2017. I have some photographs and I think this is the final design of Nokia 8.

Don’t get confused, Nokia is neither designing nor manufacturing the phone now. Being the largest phone manufacturer in an era, Nokia was sold to Microsoft. Microsoft was manufacturing the windows phone with Nokia branding, as decided on contract while selling the company. Last year another Finnish company HMD Global, bought the Nokia branding of phone division from Microsoft. And since then HMD Global is responsible for designing and manufacturing the Nokia phone.

Here are the specification I know so far which I think to be true about Nokia 8:-
  • 2560 x 1440 pixel display
  • 5.5-inch display size
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 835
  • 3 or 4GB RAM
  • Dual 13- megapixel camera
  • Adreno 540
  • Zeiss optics
  • Stock Android
  • 4000 mAh battery
  • 64 GB internal storage

The Nokia 8 has a curved body on the back just like the Lumia segment of phone used to have. The camera are placed in the same way, Microsoft used to place. Even the brand name Nokia is also placed same way on the back panel.

The Nokia 8 tipped to be a single SIM (GSM) smartphone that will accept a Micro-SIM. Connectivity options are said to include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG and 4G. Sensors on the phone are rumoured to include Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.

Many of the people are not excited after seeing this design of Nokia 8, but still they love it. I also encountered few people saying that they experienced the Nokia fingerprint sensor to be faster than iPhone, but they aren’t much happy with the design. People also saying if Nokia could improve its camera and adds the older yet powerful Carl Zeiss Optics lens.
